Becoming

I want to take a moment to talk about becoming. Becoming who and what we are meant to be. Too often I think, as a society, we focus on what we have. Do we have money, a house, a boat, is our house big enough or nice enough, do we have a pool with a guest house or designer clothes and perfumes? These things are not really important. Are they nice? Yes. Do they make you WHO you are? No. Your career, is what you do. Your home and car is what you have. But WHO you are is what is important.

I get caught up in these things too. I love perfumes, I love going out on the lake and wish I had a boat, I love expensive make up and I wish I owned my own home, but those are just material things. I really care more about who I am. Who I am now and who I am becoming. I care about integrity, honesty, compassion, love, growing and healing. I think it’s important to remember that we are more than just physical beings working to pay bills and buy things. There is so much more to life. Life isn’t really about how much stuff you have. It’s about who we grow into. It’s about our spirit, our soul. We are more than just flesh and bone. If life was really only about working to make money and die, what’s the point? The point is we have to learn, develop and grow. Not for physical desires, but for spiritual growth. We are each a unique and beautiful soul, that is learning and changing every day. Who we become is so much more than what we have. Take a moment right now, to acknowledge that you are more than a body. You are a spirit that is rising and growing to be something great. You may not know who you will become, but trust that your soul is more than just what you have at the end of the day. Empower, Strengthen and help one another Recover and see how beautiful and full your life really becomes.

I love the outdoors and I am finding myself and teaching others how to do it too. We are all works in progress and masterpieces.
